About the project e-Catalunya

CREDITS

e-Catalunya is the platform promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya, Government of Catalonia for collaborative work groups (Practice Communities, project teams, etc.). Made up of administration staff, professionals and citizens, these groups share knowledge and experiences to improve procedures and render enhanced public services, better adapting these to the needs of the general public. Thanks to e-Catalunya, they can avail of virtual spaces equipped with collaborative social online tools and a methodology aimed at enhancing efficiency of learning and personal satisfaction in the work of the members of the communities.
e-Catalunya is the result of a project to integrate freeware tools, based on open source software, and the program developed by the e-Catalunya team. The project is being pioneered by the Barcelona School of Informatics (http://www.fib.upc.edu/) and the department of Languages and Computer Systems at The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (http://www.upc.edu/) together with the General Directorate for Citizen Services and Publicity.
